If your group is large enough and your budget allows, you should rent a
private boat. The rental price ranges from 2,500,000 to 5,000,000 VND/trip
depending on the facilities of the train and the time to visit (in peak time
or weekends).
With a private boat charter, your group will be proactive in the schedule of
sightseeing, rest time, meals and many other things. However, the price will
be more expensive than shared boat.
- At the low tourist season, usually from October to March next year, the
charter price for a private boat can be reduced to only 2,500,000 VND -
4,000,000 VND /boat with a regular boat.

Halong city.
- Hotels in Hon Gai area: There are many motels and hotels with cheap
prices. Prices range from 200,000 VND - 700,000 VND / room.
- Hotels in Bai Chayarea: Where many hotels from high-end to budget with
various prices ranging from 200,000 VND to 2,500,000 VND/room. Some hotels

In order to save money you should go at the beginning or the middle of the
week, because from Friday to Sunday, Halong is often crowded with tourists,
so the room rate will be raised quite high and may be full.
